St Margaret of Antioch Lower HalstowLower Halstow Church

St Margaret of Antioch is a much loved and well used 11th century village church, full of history, situated on the banks of the river Medway.

A history of the village and church are available in the church. Our ancient font has been in use for over 800 years, and still in regular use today. There are some wall paintings and other item of historical significance.

We are a friendly worship community, who like to make our visitors very welcome as they come to share with us in the intimacy of this ancient place of worship. We offer a range of different services, ranging from a reflective traditional Book of Common Prayer Communion to informal Morning Worship. Whether you are a regular in church or not, we extend a warm welcome to you.

For our monthly services pattern please look on the Church Services page.

Every Thursday morning a Bereavement Group meets at the church. It is open to anyone who has been bereaved, and is an informal, friendly mutual support group.

On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, we meet at 10am for prayer and discussion, foolowed by refreshments.
