Uplift

Friendly, informal, fun, creative and unconcerned by children's noise. Uplift seeks to be all these things as we seek to know God better, and to give him a more and more central place in our lives. Uplift meets twice a month on the first and third Sundays of the month. We offer a space to worship and to pray and to learn about how God is working in our lives. We are really focussed on the needs of children and young people, and run separate groups every time we meet for children aged under 6, 7-11 and 11+. Many of our teenagers take an active part in helping to lead the service.  On a few occasions each year, we stay together for the whole service when we look for creative ways in which young and old can take part in our worship together.

Uplift is a community, not just a church service. We want to live 'on heaven's doorstep' - seeking God in all we do, every day of the week, at the kitchen table, at work and at school.

We meet in Upchurch Village Hall at 10:30 on the first and third Sundays of every month. You can find the date of our next service and our other events here

We are always delighted to make new friends and to welcome people to Uplift. If you would like to know more, please contact Rosie Liddell at rosie.liddell@talk21.com

What's happening at Uplift:-

Our themes for each service follow the book of Judges and we will be loooking at Deborah, Gideon and Samson.

We also plan to have some fun together over the summer, including a Bluebell walk, a Treasure Hunt at Mote Park, a trip to the Big Church Day Out, a BBQ and our annual beach day at Joss Bay, when we hope that this year it will be sunny!  We also hope to book for the Detling summer conference soon.
