Uplift. A community seeking.....
To be together in the stuff of life......in a loving, open and welcoming community of all ages and all types of people where everyone is accepted as they are, where lives are shared, real relationships are built and trust grows amongst us. A community which is together with each other and with God in the messy stuff of life as well as in the good times. A community of people who work together, play together, eat together, help one another, listen to one another, pray for one another, encourage one another, have time for one another and see all we are and all we have as gifts from God to be used to his glory.
To live on heaven’s doorstep... ... by seeking God’s presence at the kitchen table, at work and at school as much as in church. A community which, by seeking, worshipping, following and listening, welcomes God’s perspective on all areas of our lives.
To be on an adventure......because we want Jesus to be at the heart of our lives and are willing to take risks in following him. A community of disciples which welcomes the challenge of faith, celebrates milestones on our faith journey and which seeks growth in our depth of faith as well as in numbers.
To make a difference......in our village, in The Six, in our world, wherever we go, spreading the love of Jesus and inviting others to meet him and join us on the journey, offering practical help as well as spiritual care.
To value the gifts of every member......because they are enabled to identify their God-given talents and to use them to the service of others and for their own flourishing. A community where no-one stands in another’s way, where age is no barrier to service, where new leaders are grown, where are all are free to make mistakes as they seek to fulfil their God-given purpose.
