St Michael & All Angels, Hartlip

St Michael & All Angels Church stands centrally in picturesque Hartlip, backed by orchards and flanked by the popular CE Primary School. The school and church have enjoyed a closely knit relationship for centuries - many village homes still treasure Bibles presented to former pupils. We warmly welcome you, whatever your preference for worship from our informal Family and Pram/Toddler services and open Friday school assemblies through to traditional Sung Communion and Matins. Music and bellringing thrive, and we regularly host visits by quality outside musicians.

The Church is now open during daylight hours every day

Even among non-churchgoers the church is a focal point for community activities such as the Harvest Supper and summer ‘Sunday Teas’. Our active ‘Friends’ organisation offers practical and social benefit to both church and village.

Our services follow a regular pattern each month:

1st Sunday  11:15  Family Service

1st Friday   2:30  Pram Service

2nd Sunday  10:30 Sung Communion

3rd Sunday  10:30 Sung Communion

4th Sunday  10:30  Sung Matins

5th Sunday Joint Cluster service held on a rotating pattern in each of the six churches
